Teammates

It would be wrong of me to suggest that every image or artifact shown here is entirely my own work. If anything, this is the portfolio of teams of lovable, talented miscreants whom it’s been my privilege to lead. I’d like to thank the designers who contributed to the projects you see here (among many others I’ve worked with).

If you like what you see, you may also want to check out their other work.

  • Kiki Carr

Kiki’s one of the most unique people I’ve ever worked with. She’s fearless when it comes to finding the best possible solution, a tireless advocate for accessibility and inclusivity, and extremely talented at building and maintaining design standards and toolkits. All that and a personality that helps keep her team light-hearted and motivated when the work gets tough.

  • Alex Chuang

Alex is still early in his career but punches well above his weight. His work with Georgia Natural Gas has shown that he’s thoughtful, thorough, and able to absorb very complex problem sets, quickly turning them into interactive excellence.

  • Gabe Friedman

Gabe’s a true class act. On the one hand, he’s laconic with a well-hidden goofy streak. On the other, he’s exceptionally experienced and knowledgeable. I’ve had blue chip clients specifically ask to have him on their projects because he’s efficient, unassuming, thorough, and focused on exceptional quality.

  • Sarah Massagee

Sarah’s superpowers extend beyond designing in a known space. I’ve seen her at her best when faced with running client workshops, herding stakeholders toward a strategy and a design direction they never would have considered but which will absolutely knock their users’ socks off. She’s also great backup in office Nerf fights.

  • Dravon McKinnie

Dravon is a quiet superhero. Never one to self-promote or grandstand, he impresses through his creations. As a creative, he has a unique perspective that elevated our work on multiple projects and struck just the right tone for our client brands.

  • Lori Neuhardt

Lori is quite possibly the sweetest human being I’ve ever worked with. And yet, there’s so much more there. She’s exceptionally talented and experienced, with multiple top-tier industry awards. Her presence, her ideas, and her work ethic have shown us levels of creative refinement that we could not of achieved otherwise. I just wish she’d take a day off.

  • Harlo Petoskey

Spend five minutes talking with Harlo and you’ll uncover one of the most interesting personalities I’ve met. He’s multi-talented both in and out of work. I’ve seldom seen someone who can speak and listen to clients more effectively. And he’s never afraid to flip the conceptual table with a fundamental question others have ignored.

  • Derek Schwarz

I’m pretty sure Derek was the de facto cool kid among us. Utterly unflappable, willing to help anyone who needed it, and able to parse the most complex conversations for that grain of truth that would power a perfect design cycle. All this while traveling in a van and working from a different state almost every day.

  • Kristian Simmons

I was lucky enough to spent roughly three years working with Kristian. During that time she grew into a designer whom I could trust with the most challenging assignments we had to offer. Thorough, graceful under pressure, and always willing to lend a hand to others. Who could ask for more?

  • Rob Stoutenberg

I used to think of myself as pretty thorough and analytical. And then I met Rob. In a past life he was a professional soccer player. Now he’s the guy I’d want on my team when faced with a project that boggles the mind. He powers his work with an incredible degree of research and breaks problems down to an atomic level before building something that surprises and delights.

It really does take a village and there are many more people who deserve a shout out. Researchers, analysts, project & program managers, strategists, developers, architects, QA testers, and others. Not to mention my own leaders and mentors (you know who you are).
